Now With More Updates!!    Friday, August 7, 2020

As you may have noticed, raffle tickes are available for purchase in the Shop. I'm adding items as they become available, so check back regularly for updated items. The last day for raffle ticket sales will be Sunday, September 13, 2020 to allow time for you tickets to be sent by mail.

There have been some inquiries about adding a watch party and a costume contest to our livestream event. Unfortunately we are not able to broadcast, stream, or otherwise show episodes of Firefly, Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog, or Serenity. That would violate all of the United States copyright laws, and I don't want to go to prison. :) Lori and I are working out the logistics for a costume contest, and I'll post another update as soon as we have a workable plan.

I also wanted to update everyone on this year's t-shirts. We have decided to use the dropship platform set up by CSTS Global, and shirts, hoodies, tanks, and sweatshirts can be ordered directly from Represent. This year's logo is super cool and looks amazing on a t-shirt.

Finally, we know this is a weird time for everyone, but there's a lesson in all of this...When you can't run you crawl, and when you can't do that you find someone to carry you. Please reach out if you need to, we're here. <3

Event Updates!    Friday, July 31, 2020

Hi Everyone! I (finally!) have an update about Can't Stop the Serenity 2020. I think that everyone probably knows by now that we're not going to be able to hold an in-person event. We'll be heavily restricted on the number of guests allowed at the Alamo, and many of us have other health concerns that make meeting in person more challenging...but the show must go on, so I'm happy to say that we're going to hold the annual raffle via live stream on Saturday, September 26th at 7:00 PM!! We have a lot of great stuff, including more items autographed by Summer Glau, so I didn't want to let this year pass without doing anything. We've got some new challenges by holding the raffle online, but I know if we work together everything will run smoothly.

I also know there will be a lot of questions...so here's our plan:

  1. How to Buy Raffle Tickets
    1. Beginning Monday, August 3, 2020, raffle items, with descriptions, will be available for bidding in the shop section of this website.
    2. Select the item you're bidding on, and enter the total number of raffle tickets you wish to buy for that item.
    3. Add item to cart.
    4. Repeat for all desired raffle items.
    5. Check out.
    6. Raffle tickets are $1.00 each + $1.00 Shipping & Handling for the total order.
    7. When your order is received, we will allocate raffle tickets to the items you've bid on and send your part of the ticket to you via USPS.
    8. There is no limit on the number of tickets that may be purchased or the number of items you may bid on.
    9. All proceeds, less shipping fees, will be donated to Equality Now.
    10. A total donation amount will be announced prior to sending donation to Equality Now.
  2. How to Donate to the Raffle
    1. If you would like to make a donation to the raffle, please contact us by email (info@denverbrowncoats.com) no later than Friday, August 14, 2020.
    2. We must receive donations by or before Friday, August 21, 2020.
    3. Items received after the cut off date will not appear in the 2020 raffle, but instead will be held for the 2021 event.
  3. How is the Event Going to Work?
    1. We will begin a YouTube livestream of our raffle at 7:00PM on Saturday, September 26, 2020.
    2. A link to the livestream will be available on this website, and the Facebook page, beginning at 6:00PM Saturday, September 26, 2020.
    3. We will draw raffle tickets and announce winners live, just as we would at the Alamo.
    4. Winners will be contacted (through the information provided during checkout) on Sunday, September 27, 2020, and arrangments will be made at that time to receive prizes.
  4. Will there be a Costume Contest?
    1. Unfortunately not this year, but please share your Firefly costume pics with us!
  5. What if I won tickets for this event last year?
    1. If you won tickets for this event last year, please contact us at info@denverbrowncoats.com.

I hope that our plan isn't too confusing, please reach out if you have any questions, info@denverbrowncoats.com. Lori and I will do our best to make sure we keep flying...after all, you can't stop the signal.

Love you guys,

-Lori & Suzanne

Welcome to Our New Site!    Thursday, June 11, 2020

Hi Everyone and welcome to the new digital home of the Denver Browncoats! My name is Suzanne, though many of you know me as Siouxsie from Siouxsiequeue's. I'm lucky enough to have been tasked by Krys, along with Lori Holtus and Jeremy Cunningham, to Captain Can't Stop the Serenity again this year. It's true that the world is a little different these days, and there has been some concern that CSTS won't happen this year, but I'm happy to say that Lori and I are hard at work and we'll provide event updates, here and on the Facebook page, as they become available. In the meantime, please don't hesitate to reach out with questions, you can find me at info@denverbrowncoats.com
